In order to improve the level of municipal transport services in the country using the funds allocated on behalf of the head of state to the Baku executive authority from the Reserve Fund of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic, different vehicles that will provide utility services have been brought to the capital. On 19 October, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the new vehicles.
The major reconstruction of the road and transport infrastructure in the capital, other cities and districts of the republic in accordance with the highest standards, construction of new bridges and flyovers have, along with the increased demand for modern means of public transportation in Baku, made it necessary to further improve the level of municipal transport services. Based on the President’s instructions, significant measures are being consistently implemented in this area. The purchase of new hardware for the capital is an integral part of the work to modernize the municipal transport service of Baku and districts.
The head of the Baku Executive Authority, Hajibala Abutalibov, informed President Ilham Aliyev of the new machinery. It was indicated that in order to improve municipal transport services in the capital and districts of the country, 265 units of equipment of 8 types have been delivered to Azerbaijan. The Baku mayor spoke about the technical specifications and capacities of the vehicles. It was noted that among the new machines there were 67 vacuum vehicles KO-515A on the chassis of KAMAZ-43253, 36 garbage collection vehicles 4K, 22 water carriers and washer vehicles D-06, and 17 KAMAZ trucks. The President also inspected the equipment produced by the Ganja Automobile Plant. It was reported that 67 units of this hardware had been brought to the capital. These vehicles, equipped with the sweeping and loading functions, are capable of carrying out cleaning work on the streets. The 24 garbage trucks and 11 dumpers also have modern technical capacities. It was mentioned that 21 extendible handlers of Improtex Trusks Buses had been delivered to Baku from France. It was noted that in addition to the new machinery, spare parts had also been delivered to the country.
After inspecting the machinery, the head of state issued relevant instructions on further improving the level of municipal transport services in Baku and districts.
