Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the newly constructed Mingachevir-Khaldan highway

President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the newly constructed Mengachevir-Khaldan highway. 

Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov told the President that the reconstruction works of the highway had been carried out throughout the current year. The 21-kilometer long highway is a third rate highway. The width of the two-stripped traffic road’s motion section is 7 meters. Together with the ground bed, the width of the road is 12 meters. The strategic importance of this road section is huge for the region given that this road connects the 263 kilometers of Baku-Shamakhy-Yevlakh highway with Mingachevir city. Moreover, it provides traffic links of Mingachevir city with the capital, as well as with the northwestern areas of the republic. At the same time, transportation means going from Shakhi-Zagatala region to Ganja-Gazakh region and in the opposite direction use this highway. 

President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening and wished success to the builders.
