Presidents of Azerbaijan and Croatia held a meeting with business people

President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipović have held a meeting with business people.

The meeting facilitator provided attending company executives and representatives of the business community of Croatia with extensive information about Azerbaijan and its economy. He noted that Azerbaijan had created a favorable environment for foreign businessmen.

President of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipović said that the official visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Croatia would contribute to the development of economic relations between the two countries. He said that Azerbaijan had been growing rapidly in recent years and was of great interest to Croatia from this point of view.

Pointing to the existence of new areas for mutual investment, President Ivo Josipović stressed the importance of this meeting for business people in terms of relationship-building.

President Ilham Aliyev said that the visit to Croatia was very successful. He said that the focus of the negotiations was on the expansion of economic ties. The head of state said that Azerbaijani-Croatian relations were developing in all areas and that there was a good potential for a further deepening of economic cooperation.

Stressing the importance of establishing and developing fruitful relations between entrepreneurs and business circles of the two countries, President Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan and Croatia can fruitfully cooperate in the field of transport, tourism and other areas.

Informing representatives of the business community about the economic development ongoing in Azerbaijan and the business landscape in the country, President Ilham Aliyev said that the country had created a favorable environment for foreign business people and that all conditions were available for foreign investment. Stressing that many Croatian companies successfully operated in Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his hope for an enhanced contribution of business people to a further development of economic relations between the two countries.

Then entrepreneurs and leading representatives of the business community of Croatia informed President Ilham Aliyev about their companies and economic structures they represent, noted that they had a strong interest in cooperating with our country and asked the President questions relating to various sectors of the Azerbaijani economy.

After listening to the questions and suggestions of business people, President Ilham Aliyev reiterated that foreign investment in Azerbaijan was protected at a high level and called on the business people of Croatia to establish close cooperation with Azerbaijan.
