President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made a telephone call to President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

The President congratulated Dmitry Medvedev on his birthday, wished him success in his Presidential activities and strong health.

The President of the Russian Federation expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and wishes.

During the telephone call, the sides expressed satisfaction with successful development of Azerbaijan-Russia bilateral relations in various fields. The last visit of Russian President to Azerbaijan, its results, and the documents signed were noted for their importance for expansion of ties.
