Ilham Aliyev reviewed progress of construction of underground parking in Azadlig Square of Baku

President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed progress of construction of underground parking in Azadlig Square of Baku.

The reconstruction and modernization of the Seaside National Park have increased the interest of the city population and visitors in this part of Baku. The growing number of people coming here by car to see interesting events and have rest has been causing traffic jams and endangering pedestrians on an adjacent area. To resolve this problem, underground parking is currently under construction in Azadlig Square.

Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov informed the President about the ongoing work.

It was noted that the two-tier parking is designed for nearly 2,000 vehicles. A separate substation has been built to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the car park. The fire tank, equipment for purifying automotive emissions and ventilation systems will meet the highest standards. According to the project, the car park will have eight entrances and exits, including two for cars and six for pedestrians. To date, construction has been completed on an area of 60,000 square
meters.

After reviewing the work done, the President gave appropriate instructions.
