As part of a visit to Saatli District, President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of a Youth Center in Saatli.
The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Youth Center.
It was indicated that the President of Azerbaijan was successfully continuing the state youth policy associated with the name of great leader Heydar Aliyev. Comprehensive measures have been taken in this area since 2003. A very important role has been played by the successful implementation of the State Program “The Azerbaijani youth” which covered the 2005-2009 period. The State Program “The Azerbaijani youth in 2011-2015” is evidence of the fact that the work in this area is of sustainable nature.
It was noted that the Centre, built with public funds according to a relevant Order of the President of Azerbaijan, has been established on an area adjoining the Heydar Aliyev Park which was formerly occupied by a run-down two-storey house. The construction of the two-storey Center began in 2011. The total area of the Youth Center is 2,500 square meters. In the lobby there are photo stands reflecting the visits of great leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to Saatli and their meetings with young people in various districts of the country. There are sewing and computer classes on the first floor of the building. The Center’s shooting club is fitted with modern technical equipment. Using special computer graphics it shows various hunting scenes. For the young people interested in music, the center will operate karaoke rooms.
On the second floor of the Youth Center there will be a fine arts club and a dance studio.
The room with a virtual ring is equipped with modern computers. The Center will also operate a modern café. The conference hall and the 200-seat meeting room are well suited for hosting various events. The electronic library and the language lab are fitted with modern information and communication equipment. There is also a 3D cinema here. The Center will play an important part in enhancing the knowledge and skills of the young people of Saatli and contribute to the efficient organization of their leisure.
The President praised the work done and gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
