Ilham Aliyev met with British Prime Minister David Cameron

President Ilham Aliyev, who is paying a working visit to London, has met with British Prime Minister David Cameron.

The President of Azerbaijan and the British Prime Minister posed for official photographs.

The sides pointed to a high level of Azerbaijani-British bilateral relations. It was indicated that the United Kingdom and Azerbaijan successfully cooperated in a number of areas, including the energy and non-oil sectors, and pointed to great prospects for these ties.

The parties also discussed the relations between Azerbaijan and Great Britain in the area of international security. David Cameron gave a high assessment to Azerbaijan’s support for NATO and the international coalition in Afghanistan.

The parties also exchanged views on regional and international matters.
