The President of Azerbaijan and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Lankaran garrison of the State Border Service after major overhaul and reconstruction.
The Chief of the State Border Service Lt-Gen Elchin Guliyev reported to President of Azerbaijan and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.
The President reviewed the garrison.
The head of state was informed about construction projects in other military units of the State Border Service.
President Ilham Aliyev also reviewed the military equipment at the disposal of the garrison. It was noted that the availability of state-of-the-art equipment was instrumental to high-quality protection of the borders.
The President praised the work done at the garrison.
