President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Garadagh steel plant.
The President was informed that the 8,600-square meter plant was built in accordance with the state program on the socioeconomic development of Baku and its suburban settlements in the Sahil settlement of the Garadagh district on an area of 4.5 hectares.
The construction began in July 2011. The plant utilizes state-of-the-art technologies of “Kaltenbach GmbH”, “Zimfer”, “Vinter”, “Voortman”, “Facin” and “Durma” companies.
It was noted that the plant would produce 24,000 tons of steel per year and employ 120 people. In order to increase the future range and volume of products, the construction of additional production facilities is planned.
