President Ilham Aliyev has examined the reconstruction at a frontier commandant’s office and a frontier station in Julfa.
The Chief of the Nakhchivan border division, Maj-Gen Asaf Guliyev, reported to President and Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.
The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the frontier commandant’s office and the frontier station in Julfa.
It was noted that the border commandant’s office consists of four buildings – the staff, support, technical and living buildings. The two-storey staff building is fully equipped and houses various classrooms that are fitted with visual aids.
The President of Azerbaijan reviewed soldiers' barracks. It was noted that the barracks were well suited for proper recreation of the personnel. The local canteen has a modern appearance.
It was indicated that regular measures are taken to improve the social conditions of State Border Service personnel who always feel the care and attention of the Commander-in-Chief. This is also the case with the Julfa frontier station. There are two apartment buildings for the families of officers on the premises. The three-storey building has 18 furnished and equipped apartments. Six apartments have three rooms, another six have two rooms and the other six have one room. The other two-storey building has eight apartments.
When reviewing the premises the President was informed that the material and technical logistics of the commandant’s office and the frontier station were properly organized. There is a parade ground, a sports camp and a playground for kids on the premises of the commandant’s office.
The area of the commandant’s office and the frontier station has been fully landscaped, decorative bushes and trees planted.
The President praised the work done and wished the personnel every success.
