Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Children’s Technical Skills Center in Salyan

President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Children’s Technical Skills Center in Salyan built on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Center.

It was indicated that the Salyan Children’s Technical Skills Center had been operating in an unsuitable building from 1985. In March 2011, the construction of a new building for the Center began on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. All the necessary infrastructure has been established, the area around the Center has been extensively landscaped, trees and shrubs planted.

In the lobby of the Center there are photos documenting the multifaceted activities of great leader Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, as well as those describing the nationwide leader’s and the President’s visits to Salyan District.

The President also reviewed the pictures featuring the previous and current condition of the Center and examined children’s exhibits displayed in the local gallery.

It was indicated that there is a library, a workshop and several ancillary rooms on the first floor. Two rooms are allocated for a children’s library. On the second floor, there are photos featuring the Center’s activities and diplomas local children have won in various competitions. The sections on entertaining physics, chess, modeling, basic technical design, do-it-yourself, design, English language, etc. are intended to improve the intellectual level of kids. A total of 1,772 children will attend 10 various departments of the Center. The Center has been fitted with modern equipment.

The President praised the work done and gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
