Ilham Aliyev visited the statue of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev in Salyan

As part of a tour of southern districts, President Ilham Aliyev has visited Salyan District.

First of all, the President visited the statue of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev in the Heydar Aliyev Park in the center of Salyan and laid flowers at it.

President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the landscaping work carried out around the statue of great leader Heydar Aliyev.

The head of state examined the stands reflecting the landscaping work carried out in the district over the past year.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed that AZN 2 million allocated in accordance with the President’s Order dated 19 April 2011 was spent on renovating the façades of apartment buildings in a modern style, decorating them with national ornaments and installing 630 lamp posts.

A 5-km sustaining wall has been built along the section of the Alat-Astara highway passing through the town of Salyan. The wall has been coated with the “Gulbakh” stone. The streets have been landscaped and trees planted on a wide area.
