President Ilham Aliyev has arrived in Gusar District.
First, the head of state visited the statue of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of Gusar and laid flowers at it.
President Ilham Aliyev was informed of the work carried out around the statue. It was indicated that the Heydar Aliyev Memorial, where the statue is located, also has a Center of Heydar Aliyev, a playground for kids and a public catering facility. The area has been landscaped and trees planted.
The Center of Heydar Aliyev in the vicinity of the statue imparts special beauty to the complex.
The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Heydar Aliyev Center.
It was noted that the construction area of the two-storey Heydar Aliyev Center is 1,060, while its total area is 1,420 square meters. The photographs and documents exhibited at the Museum of Heydar Aliyev created at the Center cover different periods of life and political activities of the nationwide leader. There is a bust of the great leader at the museum. The photos document the titanic work the nationwide leader carried out for the good of his native country and people when he led Azerbaijan in Soviet times and in the years of independence. Following great leader Heydar Aliyev’s return to power in Azerbaijan, the country made a transition from a period of recession to the stage of development. It was then that Azerbaijan’s international reputation started to grow, the republic initiated and implemented projects of regional and international importance. Underlying the successful development in all spheres observed in the country today are Heydar Aliyev’s political intellect, wisdom and foresight. Looking back at the past period, we are witnessing the historical merits of the brilliant leader in the development of culture, education, health, sports, army construction – all areas of life.
The President was informed that the Heydar Aliyev Center also operates an Internet club and a cafe. There are 12 computers here. The Center has a conference room and an electronic library with a great number of different books. The 16 computers installed at the library enable the reading of any book electronically. The painting and carpet-weaving clubs created at the Center enhance the affinity of the young generation to folk customs and traditions and help them learn the secrets of painting and carpet-weaving.
President Ilham Aliyev examined a 118-seat cinema at the Center.
Then the head of state enjoyed the surrounding view from the second floor of the Center. The President was informed of the landscaping work carried out around the complex.
Then President Ilham Aliyev reviewed a café also located in the complex.
It was mentioned that the café is well suited for the recreation of local residents.
President Ilham Aliyev enjoyed the panoramic view of Gusar from the café’s summer terrace. The President was briefed on the work done in Gusar and the measures to be taken in the future.
Giving a high assessment to the work done in the complex, President Ilham Aliyev issued recommendations and instructions.
