As part of a visit to Shaki, President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the State Drama Theater named after Sabit Rahman.
Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev informed President Ilham Aliyev that the building started operating as a culture center of silk-weavers in 1973, but two years later became part of the Sabit Rahman State Drama Theater. The theater’s interesting performances have earned it respect not only in Shaki but also throughout the country. The fact that the theater was not renovated for a long time did not pass off unnoticed for the company. Following orders and instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, all historical sites and culture centers are now renovated. Major overhaul of the Shaki State Drama Theater is also on the agenda.
The head of state gave instructions and recommendations on completing the renovation in a quality manner.
