On 29 October, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev telephoned President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul.
The President of Azerbaijan wished Abdullah Gul a happy birthday, congratulated his counterpart on the national holiday of Turkey, the Day of the Republic, and wished him good health and every success in presidential activities, and peace and prosperity to the friendly and brotherly people of Turkey.
Abdullah Gul thanked the Azerbaijani President for the attention and congratulations.
The Presidents expressed satisfaction with the successful development of Azerbaijani-Turkish bilateral relations in all fields, stressed the importance of the Azerbaijani President’s latest visit to Turkey and the documents signed during it for a further strengthening of cooperation, and expressed confidence that our relations would continue to expand.
