President Ilham Aliyev visited the Cultural Center of Lerik after its complete overhaul.

The President was informed that the building, built in 1973, has a new modern look following the capital reconstruction and renovation works. The 300-seat hall of the cultural center is outfitted with modern equipment and lighting effects.

President Ilham Aliyev viewed a photo stand featuring reconstruction activities and tourism potential of the region.

It was mentioned that, thanks to the suitable geographic location and great tourism potential of the region, new recreation centers and tourism facilities had been built over the years.

President Ilham Aliyev viewed an exhibition featuring schoolchildren`s handicrafts, decorative artworks and paintings.

The President also looked at the exhibition of agricultural products and wide range of other goods produced in the region. The exhibition displayed mineral waters, products from beekeeping, musical instruments, wooden art crafts, furniture, ancient excavation materials from Lerik region, reflecting the region’s history, national handicraft samples, products of sand-gravel and brick plants, and other items.

Drugs of plant origin, prepared in natural ways, were source of interest at the exhibition.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with the work done and gave instructions and recommendations.
