President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the Shabran Culture Center after major overhaul and renovation.
It was indicated that the overhaul of the building, which formerly operated a movie theater, began in 2007. During the reconstruction of the Center with a total area of 580 square meters maximum attention was paid to performing the work at a high level.
President Ilham Aliyev examined the photo stands in the lobby of the Center. There are also photos stand reflecting the attention of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev for the sphere of culture and art. The photographs show that great leader Heydar Aliyev treated the people of culture and art with great attention and care and carried out important work to further expand their opportunities. This policy is being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. Today, artists enjoy public attention at the highest level.
The head of state first reviewed the hall of the Culture Center. There are all the conditions for organizing high-level activities at the district level. On the second floor of the Center there are the offices and the director’s control room. The reconstructed Culture Center has become a wonderful present to the town and lends special beauty to the appearance of Shabran.
It was indicated that the 320-seat hall has all conditions for conducting a variety of activities. It is equipped with a modern sound system.
President Ilham Aliyev watched a literary and art performance by Shabran folklore group “Khinayakhdi”.
The performance dwelling upon the ancient customs and traditions of our people and showing its affection for its roots were received with great interest. Along with the folk group “Khinayakhdi”, the Shabran Culture Center also has the “Chiraggala” Zurna band and a drama studio called “Shabran”.
These groups are actively involved in the district’s cultural life, seeking to represent Shabran in various national activities and competitions. The conditions at the Center will allow the groups to work better and expand their opportunities.
After reviewing the Culture Center, the head of state wished the staff further successes.
