President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in Brussels.
The head of state recalled visits of President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani to Azerbaijan and their previous meetings.
President Ilham Aliyev said the meeting of the International Contact Group on Afghanistan was successfully held in Baku, featuring good discussions.

Mohammad Ashraf Ghani once again thanked for Azerbaijan`s continued support for Afghanistan in a variety of fields as well as for hosting the meeting of the International Contact Group on Afghanistan.
The successful cooperation between the two countries in various areas was stressed, Azerbaijan`s support for Afghanistan in the humanitarian sphere was hailed at the meeting.
The sides exchanged views over the regional issues. Azerbaijan`s role in establishing peace in Afghanistan was emphasized.
They also discussed prospects for economic cooperation between the two countries.
