Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva telephoned Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal on 15 May to congratulate them on the brilliant victory in the 56th Eurovision Song Contest in Dusseldorf, Germany and wished the talented young people further success.
President Ilham Aliyev and Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva stressed that while victory in a contest joined by 43 European nations was a great achievement of the young Azerbaijani duet of Eldar and Nigar, it is also a great success of the Azerbaijani state and people.
