Ilham Aliyev visited the park, named after Soviet Hero Gafur Mammadov

President Ilham Aliyev visited the park, named after Hero of the Soviet Union, Gafur Mammadov.

President Ilham Aliyev laid a bouquet of flowers in front of the bust of Soviet Hero Gafur Mammadov, who had demonstrated an unprecedented bravery in the war against German fascism. Then, President of Azerbaijan checked out the conditions created in the park.

The park, named after Gafur Mammadov, was also reconstructed in a short amount of time, according to the instructions, given by the President for capital reconstruction of parks and alleys in Baku.

A modern fountain was built in the park, attracting attention with a distinctive design. The greenery strips have been renewed and a large number of ornamental flowers and bushes have been planted in the park. The park lighting system has completely been changed. All the necessary conditions have been created for the leisure of the population.

Following the tour of the park, President Ilham Aliyev met and conversed with niece of Soviet Hero Gafur Mammadov, Tamilla Mammadova.
