President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended “Informal Gathering of world economic leaders: New global context for energy geopolitics" session of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Addressing the session, which was attended by high-ranking officials, President Ilham Aliyev spoke about Azerbaijan`s achievements in the energy sector, successful channeling of revenues gained from the energy sector to diversification of the economy, the country`s active participation in global energy projects, Azerbaijan’s important role in ensuring energy security of Europe, and the significance of the Southern Gas Corridor.
