President Ilham Aliyev participated at the opening of Mugham Center in Horadiz city

In the framework of visit to the Fizuli region, President Ilham Aliyev participated at the opening of Mugham Center in Horadiz city on November 11.

President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon signaling the opening and studied the conditions created at the center.

The photos were exhibited at ground floor dedicated to the care and attention paid to our national music by great leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev.

Head of state was informed that the construction of this center has started in May 2010 with the support of SOCAR’s Social Development Department. Located in the territory of 3 hectares, this cultural center was built on the basis of instruction of President Ilham Aliyev. Reflecting the shape of the ancient Azerbaijani musical instrument – the tar, the buildings has three floors and three interconnected sections. The Mugham school under the Center disposes 31 classrooms of various type. Portrays of Azerbaijani Mugham masters and photos of our national musical instruments are installed on the building walls.

President Ilham Aliyev and Madam Mehriban Aliyeva watched draft design of the center.

Lecture and exercise auditorium halls are located at second and third floors. Head of state watched the lessons of Mugham.

While touring the indoor concert hall for 320 seat at the Center, it was reported that the hall is equipped with modern acoustics system and lighting effects facility.

President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse have listened to Karabakh Shikestesi performed by Karabakh Instrumental ensemble and young singers of Fizuli region.

The Center disposes also the outdoor concert hall for 520 seats. The building is equipped with air ventilation, uninterrupted water supply, modern lighting system and high voltage power generator. Large scale refurbishment work was carried out around this area. Fountains equipped with multicolor lamps in nighttime, greening lines were created also here. The adjacent area of the Center is envisaged also as a park of resort for local residents.
