I congratulate you on your re-election as President of the Azerbaijan Republic. Citizens of your country, realizing their right to vote, demonstrated long-term commitment to democracy and expressed trust in your leadership again.
As a citizen of the United States and Utah Senator, I appreciate the long-term constructive partnership between the United States and Azerbaijan. Our countries interact and will interact in the fight against terrorism, the resolution of political conflicts, energy security and economic stability in the name of peace and progress in the world.
I thank you for your loyalty to the ideals of democracy. You enjoy high authority in many countries both in the region and beyond. We constantly face changing global challenges, and therefore, the United States is lucky to have such a respected ally.
