Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Youth House in Mingachevir

President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Youth House in Mingachevir.

The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Youth House.

Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov informed the President of Azerbaijan that in accordance with the instructions and recommendations of the head of state, focused projects and programs were carried out to identify the intellectual and creative potential of young people, in particular to expand the activities of the youth living in the countryside. This is facilitated by the creation of the social infrastructure and youth centers meeting modern standards, including the Youth House in Mingachevir.

It was noted that the construction of a three-storey building had begun in March last year and was completed in April this year. The total area of the Youth House is 980 square meters. In the lobby there are photo stands describing different aspects of the public and political activities of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev, and their meetings with young people.

It was indicated that the education of young people in the spirit of patriotism was one of the priority issues. To do this, the Youth House operates the "Club of patriots". Thanks to the information center of the Youth House, young people can stay abreast of the latest news. All computers in a separate Internet room are connected to the internet. The Youth House will also operate special courses on computer and foreign language training. There are plans to organize mind games among the youth of the city.

The hall for table games has all the conditions for the effective organization of leisure activities. The exhibition hall currently demonstrates works of young artists from around the world. The "Art Studio" operates state-of-the-art equipment using which young people will have the opportunity to prepare a variety of programs. The Youth House will also operate a "Laboratory for training talents". This project is carried out within the framework of a state program with support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The main objective is to promote scientific and technical knowledge among adolescents, encourage them to make scientific, and creative initiatives and identify talented young people in this area. The club of technology and inventions is also of great importance for young people, as they will be informed about new inventions and the latest technology here. The "hot line" service will help young people obtain answers to all their questions. The conference hall is expected to conduct various youth activities. The House of Youth will also operate an environmental club "Green City", a library and a career center. The center will play an important part in the efficient organization of leisure activities.

President Ilham Aliyev was also informed about the sports facilities already built and planned to be constructed in the future, and the work carried out in connection with the European Olympic Games due to be held in Baku in 2015.
