Dear Mr President,

I congratulate you on your re-election as President of the Azerbaijan Republic.

The achievements of your country, the decline in the level of poverty, the trebling of the gross domestic product and the implementation of ecological and infrastructure projects testify to your wise leadership and policy oriented to the future. During my recent visit to Baku, I witnessed the beauty of your city and the friendliness and hospitality of the Azerbaijani people.

By opening a corridor for US and NATO peacekeepers and sending military forces to serve shoulder to shoulder with the US military personnel in Afghanistan, you proved the strong relationship between our countries once again. I am sure that our common interests in peace and security will develop in the next few years.

Mr President, as a friend of the Azerbaijani people, I wish success to you and the people of your beautiful country.
