President Ilham Aliyev received the delegation led by Vecdi Gönül, Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey.

Head of state stressed that the relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey develop successfully in all fields, including the military field. Touching upon the visit of a large delegation led by Vecdi Gönül, Minister of National Defense of Turkey, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his hope that the broad exchange of views related to further expansion of our ties in this field will take place during the stay. Head of state stressed his confidence on further fostering of co-operation in the field of defense between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Vecdi Gönül conveyed best regards of Abdullah Gül, President of the Republic of Turkey and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister. Stressing ever increasing co-operation in the military field between Turkey and Azerbaijan, he expressed his confidence on further strengthening of ties in this sphere.
