On my own behalf and on behalf of the Government of Italy, I want to express to you my most sincere congratulations on your victory in the presidential election held in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Italy and Azerbaijan have the potential for a further expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields, including the energy sector, which has enabled us to act as strategic partners in the development of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline project.

Remembering the hospitality extended to us during my visit to Baku last August, I once again express to you my congratulations and hopes for a new meeting with you.
