Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Lankaran-Vilvan-Osakucha-Turkanjil road

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Lankaran-Vilvan-Osakucha-Turkanjil road.
The head of state reviewed the plan of the road. The President was informed that the road had not been renovated for many years and became unusable. The road has been fully refurbished in a short time, which will significantly facilitate the movement of people. A total of 4 million manats were originally allocated for the reconstruction of the road from the state budget in accordance with the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan dated 8 June 2012. A 27-km stretch of the Lankaran-Vilvan-Osakucha-Turkanjil road linking 20 settlements with a population of 40,000 people has been refurbished, a 23-km section has been asphalted and a 4-km stretch has been compacted and covered with a layer of crushed stone.
It was noted that the construction of the road, carried out by "Lankaran Yol Tikinti" OJSC, began in May 2012 and was completed in August 2013. During the reconstruction of the road of the third technical category, six bridges were repaired and two drainage pipes installed.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with the work done.
