President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Heydar Aliyev Center in Masalli after reconstruction.
President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the reconstructed Heydar Aliyev Center is a testament to the deep respect for the memory of the nationwide leader. The center has a collection of photographs and exhibits reflecting various periods of the great leader’s life and work. There are many images documenting the strengthening of Azerbaijan’s authority in the international arena, prevention of civil war in the country in the first years of independence, the revitalization of the Azerbaijani economy after a severe crisis, the path of development embarked upon thanks to the hard political work of outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev and important steps on building a strong army.
It was noted that the center, which is of great importance from the point of view of perpetuating the memory of the nationwide leader, demonstrates materials, photographs, historical documents and exhibits describing different stages of the great’s life and multifaceted public activities, including the photographs of his trips to Masalli. The building will also have offices fitted with computers and other equipment. The center has two conference halls for 250 and 100 persons and the necessary conditions for a variety of activities.
It was noted that the center has an internet café and a 3D cinema. There are sections for studying the rich history of Azerbaijan. It will also operate painting and photography studios and a folk art club. The folk art room displays ancient musical instruments of Azerbaijan and samples of carpet weaving. The e-library has a collection of electronic manuals describing the life and work of great leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev, as well as the history, literature and culture of Azerbaijan.
There is also an "eco-class" here. There are photo stands providing information about the IDEA campaign for the protection of the country’s flora and fauna being implemented at the initiative of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva.
It was noted that Masalli hosted the first International Folklore Festival in 2012 and the Second International Folklore Festival dedicated to the 90th anniversary of great leader Heydar Aliyev, while in 2012 the city was elected the folkloric capital of Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev visited the computer room and the rooms of foreign languages and national dance. After reviewing the center, President Ilham Aliyev looked at the pictures reflecting the activities of the Masalli art school, the local history museum, as well as the landscaping and creative work under way in Masalli.
The head of state was familiarized with the boulevard park project on the banks of the Vilashchay River.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the work done at the center.
