As part of a visit to Zagatala District, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of kindergarten “Tumurjug”.
Provision of children with quality education and healthcare meeting world standards, comprehensive care and creation of the necessary conditions for raising the younger generation as worthy citizens of the country now form the fundamental principles of the state child policy in Azerbaijan.
The major overhaul of nurseries, kindergartens, boarding and secondary schools in accordance with the state program on the socioeconomic development of the regions shows the consistent nature of the work carried out in this direction.
Attention and care about children and their physical and mental health are high on the agenda of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Kindergarten "Tumurjug" in Zagatala has also been built with support of the Foundation.
The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the kindergarten and was familiarized with the building.
It was noted that the construction of the kindergarten had started in May 2012. The total area of the kindergarten is 785 square meters and of the area adjacent to it half a hectare. The kindergarten for 100 kids will have six groups. Construction has been carried out at a high level. To ensure continuous supply of hot water, an additional boiler house has been constructed. There is a fire alarm system and security cameras here as well.
It was indicated that the area around the kindergarten, which is fully suited for teaching, educating and entertaining children, has also been landscaped. Special recreation areas and a modern lighting system have been set up.
Azerbaijani President expressed his satisfaction with the work done.
