President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the road.
The President of Azerbaijan informed about the technical and economic parameters of the new road. It was noted that the road linking eight villages with a population of 8,000 people, including Ahsagi Kungut, Chapagan, Cholahli, Fazil, Ibrahimkand, Jafarabad, Aliyar and Aydinbulag, was in need of renovation.
The reconstruction of the road 30 km long and 6 meters wide started in December 2012. This road was built in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev on the reconstruction of roads and is highly important because it also connects to inter-district highways.
It was indicated that the total estimated cost of the project is 8.2 million manats. A bridge, a number of crossings, aqueducts and eight car stops have been built along the road. The restoration of the road has been instrumental in eliminating the obstacles to the movement of cargo and passenger traffic and ensuring comfortable driving for villagers.
