Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of newly-appointed ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman

President Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of a newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Azerbaijan, Qais Salim Ali al Said.
The ambassador was greeted by the guard of honor.
Ambassador Qais Salim Ali al Said submitted his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.
Then the President of Azerbaijan spoke to the ambassador.
The President noted that bilateral relations between our countries are developing well. President Ilham Aliyev said that the support of the Sultanate of Oman for Azerbaijan's position in international organizations, most notably in the discussions in the UN, is highly appreciated in Azerbaijan. Noting that political relations between Azerbaijan and Oman are at a good level, the President expressed hope that this would positively influence economic cooperation as well.
The ambassador thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the kind words about the development of relations between the two countries. He conveyed the greetings of the Sultan of Oman, Qaboos Bin Said Al Said. The diplomat expressed hope for further development of bilateral relations.
The President of Azerbaijan expressed his gratitude for the greetings of the Sultan of Oman, Qaboos Bin Said Al Said, and asked the ambassador to communicate his greetings to the head of the Omani state.
