President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu.

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu conveyed greetings on behalf of President of Turkey Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as their congratulations on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The sides stressed the successful development of friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in all spheres and expressed their confidence that they would continue to strengthen. The parties also exchanged views on issues relating to the prospects of further expansion of ties between the two countries in political, economic, energy, regional and other areas.

The President expressed his gratitude for the greetings and congratulations from President of Turkey Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of Ramadan and asked the minister to convey his greetings and congratulations to the President and Prime Minister of Turkey.
