President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Hans-Dietrich Genscher.

During the meeting the sides noted that bilateral relations between Germany and Azerbaijan were developing successfully in a variety of directions, including political, economic, industrial, humanitarian and other fields, and indicated that there was good potential for a further expansion of cooperation.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, energy security and other issues.
