President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Diplomacy, Amos Hochstein.

During the meeting, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar pass on a message of US President Barack Obama to the head of the Azerbaijani state.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the message of the US President.

The sides stressed the importance of the 20th International Exhibition and Conference "Caspian Oil & Gas: Refining and Petrochemicals" being held in Baku, expressed their satisfaction with the development of partnerships between Azerbaijan and the United States, exchanged views on the prospects of bilateral relations, the negotiations on the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh and other issues.
