President Ilham Aliyev has received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan, Vladimir Dorokhin.

Ambassador Vladimir Dorokhin informed the President about the publication of a commemorative stamp on the occasion of the 90th birthday anniversary of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev in Russia and presented samples of the stamp to President Ilham Aliyev.

The sides noted the exceptional role of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev in the construction of modern Azerbaijani statehood and the overall development of the country, and mentioned with reverence his great contribution to the development of Azerbaijani-Russian relations. During the meeting the parties noted that bilateral relations between the two countries were developing successfully in various fields and expressed their confidence that this relationship would continue to develop in the future too.
