Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Deputy Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, US Senator Saxby Chambliss.
Noting that on 29 May Baku hosted the Azerbaijani-American Forum "Vision for the future" at a high level, President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of the fruitful discussions about partnership. The forum was attended by over 300 representatives from the United States.
The Deputy Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, US Senator Saxby Chambliss, said members of the delegation were witnessing extensive development in Azerbaijan both in great leader Heydar Aliyev’s and President Ilham Aliyev’s terms in office. He thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the development of effective partnerships between the two countries in many areas.
The sides also noted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States were developing successfully in different directions, including the field of energy, counter-terrorism, security and other areas.
The US official appreciated our country's contribution to the energy security of Europe and discussed issues relating to the prospects of cooperation.
The sides also had an exchange of views on the negotiations over the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
