President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of The Gambia, Susan Waffa-Ogoo.

Indicating that this was her second visit to Azerbaijan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of The Gambia, Susan Waffa-Ogoo, said that the rapid development that has occurred in the capital city of Azerbaijan over the past period had made a deep impression on her. She conveyed greetings on behalf of President of The Gambia Yahya Jammeh to President Ilham Aliyev.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President of The Republic of The Gambia Yahya Jammeh.

Emphasizing that the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Gambia was encouraging, President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of mutual support of the two countries in international organizations. The President expressed his hope that the visit by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of The Gambia, Susan Waffa-Ogoo, to Azerbaijan would open up opportunities for the development of cooperation in various fields.
