Ilham Aliyev visited the “Hazrat Imam” Mosque Complex

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov visited the “Hazrat Imam” Mosque Complex in Tashkent.
During the tour of the complex, the President was informed that this grand mosque was built with the initiative of President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov in 2007. There is a 20-column balcony with engraved designs made from sandalwood at the entrance of the mosque. National Uzbek architectural elements were used extensively during the construction. There is a dome decorated with gilding in the interior of the mosque. President Ilham Aliyev toured the “Muyi-mubarak” madrasah, built in the XVI century, and the library of Uzbekistan Muslims’ Department. Koran, belonging to the XII century, and other rare Oriental manuscripts are kept in the library stock. President Ilham Aliyev signed the Honored guest book of the complex.
