President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the Director General of the Border Service of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Zimey Juveibir bin As-Savvat.

Pointing to the successful development of cooperation and friendly relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various areas, the President expressed his confidence that this cooperation would also have a positive impact on the development of relations between the border services of the two countries.

President Ilham Aliyev said that along with the political and economic ties, issues of security represent great importance for the development of bilateral relations. Noting the importance of border services in the security of any country, the President expressed his hope for a further development of cooperation between relevant agencies of Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia.

Indicating that the delegation was witnessing tremendous development processes ongoing in our capital, the Director General of the Border Service of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Zimey Juveibir bin As-Savvat, said that his country was pleased with the great achievements of Azerbaijan in recent years. Zimey Juveibir bin As-Savvat also expressed his confidence that the cooperation between the border services of our countries would continue to develop in the near future, while the reciprocal links in this area would contribute to a further strengthening of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
