President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the Defense Minister of Georgia, Irakli Alasania.

The head of state stressed that the relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia were at a good level in all areas, including the area of defense. Noting that the cooperation between the two countries both bilaterally and in international organizations had good traditions, President Ilham Aliyev said there were good opportunities to a further strengthening of cooperation in the field of defense.

Expressing his satisfaction with the visit to Azerbaijan as Georgian Minister of Defense, Irakli Alasania stressed the importance of the visit for discussing the issues of enhancing cooperation in the field of defense.
