Ilham Aliyev received credentials of newly appointed Belarusian ambassador to Azerbaijan

On February 13, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, received the credentials of Dmitry Pinevich, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus.
Following the formal presentation of credentials, President Aliyev engaged in a discussion with Ambassador Pinevich, reaffirming the trust-based and friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus. The head of state praised the ongoing development of bilateral ties, emphasizing that they have now reached a qualitatively new level. He also underscored the significant potential for expanding economic cooperation, citing numerous projects currently under discussion.
President Aliyev highlighted the importance of his regular interactions with President Aleksandr Lukashenko, recalling the Belarusian leader’s state visit to Azerbaijan and his participation in COP29. He noted that these engagements have played a pivotal role in strengthening cooperation and facilitating highly productive discussions across various sectors. Reiterating Azerbaijan’s commitment to the implementation of the agreed-upon initiatives, the President expressed confidence in the future of bilateral collaboration.
Wishing the ambassador success in his new role, President Aliyev extended his support for efforts to further enhance ties between the two nations.
Expressing his profound honor at being appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan, Dmitry Pinevich conveyed his gratitude for the warm hospitality and attention he has received since his arrival. He acknowledged the special role that the close relationship between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Belarus plays in fostering strong bilateral ties.
Ambassador Pinevich emphasized his commitment to further strengthening relations between the two countries, pledging to spare no effort in advancing cooperation.
During their discussion, both sides exchanged views on deepening collaboration in key sectors, including innovative technologies, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture. They also explored opportunities to enhance humanitarian and cultural ties. Additionally, the conversation touched upon the participation of Belarusian companies in the restoration and construction efforts in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.
