President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by the Chairman of the Dutch Senate, Rene Van der Linden.

The President said he recalled with content the meetings and close ties he had had with Rene Van der Lidnen in Strasbourg. 

Rene Van der Linden expressed his satisfaction with his latest visit to Azerbaijan, the friendly terms and great relations. Noting that he had led the Azerbaijan-Netherlands friendship group following his chairmanship of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the guest added that he attached great importance to the relations with Azerbaijan as the Chairman of the Dutch Senate. 

The President highly appreciated Rene Van der Linden’s chairmanship of the Azerbaijani-Netherlands friendship group. President Ilham Aliyev expressed his hope for the further enhancement of relations in political, economic and other fields between Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Noting the existence of good potential for development of cooperation, the President expressed his confidence in the contribution of the Chairman of the Dutch Senate, Rene Van der Linden’s visit to Azerbaijan to further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
