President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited Narimanov Park in Baku's Narimanov district on July 15, following its major renovations.
Eldar Azizov, the head of Baku City Executive Authority, briefed the President on the park's new facilities.
Originally established in the 1950s and covering 4.1 hectares, the park now boasts various new amenities. These include rest areas, entertainment facilities like a refurbished fountain square, and enhanced green spaces. Outdated structures have been removed, while existing public amenities have been modernized. The park now features new lighting, sports facilities, and playgrounds. Significant upgrades have also been made to its engineering and communication networks to ensure efficient rainwater drainage.
The reopening of Narimanov Park coincides with Azerbaijan hosting COP29, marking an important milestone in the country's "Green World Solidarity Year" initiatives.
