Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Heydar Aliyev Center in Imishli

As part of a visit to Imishli District, President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the Heydar Aliyev Center.
The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Center.
It was noted that the construction of the Center named after the great leader was launched in May this year and completed in a short period of time. The two-storey building has original design and looks magnificent. The total floor area of the building is 2,000 square meters. The adjacent area has been reconstructed, improved and landscaped.
On the first floor there is a statue of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev. There are photo stands describing the visits of great leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to the districts of the country and the comprehensive measures taken by the state to develop the districts. The center will operate an online library. Those interested can receive computer training here.
A virtual classroom is evidence of the attention being paid in the districts to the use of information and communication technologies. The Center will operate foreign language courses. The photo studio available here has all the conditions for those interested in the secrets of photography, while the local Internet cafe is well suited for young people to spend their free time here. The center will regularly organize various exhibitions.
The 350-seat conference hall on the first floor can host various activities. The meeting room on the second floor can accommodate 50 people. Along with the library, the Center also has a printing workshop and a 3D cinema. It will also operate studios of art and design, crafts, an e-library and a club for girls. The Centre will employ 32 people.
Then, President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the reconstructed Heydar Aliyev Park.
It was noted that reconstruction of the park was carried out using 1.4 million manats allocated from the Contingency Fund of the President on a presidential order. The park, covering an area of 6.5 hectares, has entrance gates and an original design. The fountains built here give special beauty to the park. The park has been extensively landscaped and trees planted in it. The lighting system also attracts attention with its modern design. This recreation area, which bears the name of the great leader, is a good indicator of the extent and quality of the creative work ongoing in Azerbaijan.
The President was informed about the ongoing construction of a Youth Centre in the Heydar Aliyev Park. It was noted that the construction of the three-storey building on an area of 1,800 square meters had begun in June this year and would be completed in May 2013. It will have all the conditions for the recreation and training of young people.
President Ilham Aliyev also reviewed the Flag Square in Imishli District. The total area of the Flag Square is 8,300 square meters, while the height of the flagpole is 100 meters.
It was noted that the area around the square has been landscaped and trees planted. The square around the railway station also looks completely different now. The lighting system has been updated in line with modern standards. After reconstruction, this square has become beautiful and neat.
