Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the pedigree poultry farm “Araz” in Imishli

As part of a visit to Imishli District, President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the pedigree poultry farm “Araz”.
Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev informed the President of Azerbaijan that the pedigree poultry farm “Araz” was built in the village of Garaguvanli of Imishli District in accordance with the state program on the socioeconomic development of the districts and meets the latest standards.
It was noted that within the framework of the state programs on the socioeconomic development of districts approved by the President of Azerbaijan, various production sites are put into operation throughout the country, consistent measures are taken in the districts and villages to improve the living conditions of the population. One such enterprise is the pedigree poultry farm “Araz”. The total cost of the project is 7.3 million manats. Its implementation was also made possible through the use of soft loans of the state. A soft loan of 5 million manats was allocated for the construction through the National Fund on Entrepreneurship Support of the Ministry of Economic Development. The total area of the farm which will produce eggs for breeding is 24 hectares. The construction started in late 2010.
The construction and equipping of the farm were completed in October this year.
While reviewing the factory, the President was informed that the facility has seven poultry farms each covering an area of 1,728 square meters. The poultry farms are fitted with equipment of the famous Turkish company Altuntaş, while breeding chickens have been imported from Holland. The factory is to produce 10 million eggs per year. The enterprise operates a fodder shop with a capacity of 10,000 tons per hour and a storage area with a capacity of 3,500 tons. The feed shop uses equipment of the Turkish company Altuntaş and local company Asena. The feed storage was built on the basis of the technology of the Turkish company OBI. The factory has a laboratory, an office building and ancillary facilities. The farm employs 80 people.
The President was informed that a soft loan of 10 million manats was provided by the National Fund on Entrepreneurship Support of the Ministry of Economic Development to finance the construction of a broiler factory with a capacity of 4,000 tons per year and a poultry farm producing 110 million eggs a year in Imishli. These enterprises will also be fitted with the latest equipment. The implementation of the projects will create 110 jobs.
