President Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of a bread-baking plant in Barda.
It was noted that the “Garabag” bread-baking plant has been built in accordance with the latest standards in the center of Barda. Its construction is part of the state program on the socioeconomic development of districts. The National Fund on Entrepreneurship Support has allocated a soft loan of 2.7 million manats for the plant worth 4 million manats. The bakery, built according to the “State program on the socioeconomic development of districts in 2009-2013”, meets the latest standards. Its construction began in February 2011.

It was indicated that another loan of 680 million manats was allocated by the National Fund on Entrepreneurship Support to create a resource base of the plant. A site for wheat, a grain storage facility with a capacity of 10,000 tons and a mill with a daily production capacity of 70 tons have also been built. This will help decrease the cost of bread and bakery products.

President Ilham Aliyev was also informed of the soft loans issued by the National Fund on Entrepreneurship Support in the Aran economic region.
The Executive Director of the Fund, Shirzad Abdullayev, said 5,013 entrepreneurs in the Aran economic region had received 240 million manats and a further 135.4 million manats in soft loans to finance 63 projects based on modern technology. The projects implemented through the loans helped create over 24,000 jobs. A total of 4,340 entrepreneurs in the Aran economic region received small loans. Eight refrigerated and seven grain warehouses, four poultry farms, a livestock farm and four dairy farms, two meat factories, two greenhouses, a bakery, two vineyards and three horticultural farms, three fruit plants, two building materials plants, four other companies – a total of 43 enterprises – were commissioned. This process will be continued. In Barda District, 872 entrepreneurs received 32 million manats in loans. Also, soft loans worth 17.8 million manats were allocated for 10 projects based on new technologies.
The President was also briefed on the work to be carried out through the preferential loans of the state, the financing of modern livestock farms, poultry factories, bakeries, fruit and vegetable companies, refrigerated warehouses, granaries, vineyards and other priority enterprises.
