President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the reconstructed central recreation park in Barda.
The President was informed that construction work in the park began in March and was completed in June this year. The park, built in accordance with the highest standards, covers an area of two hectares. The open-air concert stage can host various regional activities and cultural programs.
The façade of the art school in the park has been reconstructed and sculptures of renowned musicians erected in front of the building. President Ilham Aliyev visited the Flag Square established in the park. The height of the flagpole is 85 meters, which makes it visible from anywhere in the city.
The park has the most advanced lighting system, a new fountain, broad green areas. Ornamental trees and shrubs are planted.
There is also a set of artificial springs. The large monitor in the park shows video footage of different cultural events of the district.
The façades of the Heydar Aliyev Center, the District Executive Authority, the art gallery, the district branch of the “Yeni Azerbaijan Party” and the City Hall, also located in the central park, have been reconstructed. The park has recreation areas and over 40 modern benches.
The President was informed that nearby buildings have been renovated. The park is surrounded by a 800-meter fence built in the national architectural style. The green area has an automatic watering system.
President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the stands reflecting the landscaping and creative work carried out in Barda, further measures to be taken and a draft of the Heydar Aliyev Park.
