President Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the Flag Square in Barda.
The President was informed that respect for state attributes in the country is on a high level. The flag squares established, along with Baku, in many districts of the country are an indication of love and respect for national symbols. From this perspective, the Flag Square in Barda is also of great importance.
It was noted that the construction of the Flag Square began in June last year and was completed this year. The square is located in Heydar Aliyev Avenue at the entrance to the city. The flagpole is 70 meters high. The map of Azerbaijan, the words of the national anthem and the national emblem are engraved on the pedestal which is faced with natural marble. The fountain built here imparts even more beauty to the square.
It was mentioned that all the elements of Azerbaijani architecture were used in creating the square. The Flag Square has been extensively landscaped, green areas established and 1,200 ornamental shrubs and flowers planted. The square, paved with marble slabs and tiles, has a modern lighting system and all the conditions for recreation.
