President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Azerbaijan, Ismail Alper Coskun.
The Ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.
Then Ambassador Ismail Alper Coskun presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.
President Ilham Aliyev had a discussion with the Ambassador.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ismail Alper Coskun passed on greetings on behalf of President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to President Ilham Aliyev. He said he was very pleased to be appointed as an ambassador to Azerbaijan in the times of development of bilateral relations between our countries. Mr. Ismail Alper Coskun said he would apply every effort during his tenure in Azerbaijan to further expand the relations between the two countries.
The head of state noted the successful organization and high achievements of the recent second meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council and expressed his confidence in the further development of our relations in the future. President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey as the most solidary in the world and said our cooperation would develop dynamically in all areas. The head of state stressed the significance of Azerbaijani-Turkish cooperation both within and outside the region.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoganand asked the Ambassador to communicate his greetings to the President and Prime Minister of Turkey.
